Doctor said no to the X ray

I was talking to my pediatrician and eventually I got to ask her for a order for a X ray for my plates to which she said "you dont need it", I was honestly suprised bc I thought u could just ask and they would almost always order it for you because I stated it was simply out of concern for my hormones. Obv I still want it so what should I do.
