Doctor said plates were fused but I still grew???

(Not on any substances) Went to get plates checked and he said they were nearly fused and the max amount of growth I had left was maybe 0.25 inches but I’ve grown about 1.25 inches since then (1 month 1 week ago) I am now going to either buy hgh or re check growth plates because maybe they were somehow wrong last time (16) 5’7 to 5’8
