Doctor
- Best chance to make the most by far, up to a million
- Most difficult path, high IQ barrier
- Best job stability, doctors always needed
- Longest path, needs 4 year medical school, 3 year residency, and a few years fellowship
- Unlikely to be replaced by AI, no one will trust ChatGPT with their life
- Bad work life balance
- Prestigious reputation

Lawyer
- Has a wide pay range, You can make as much as a doctor (almost millions for legal partners in top firms) but you can also earn very little too ($60k)
- Good job stability, lawyers usually always needed
- Very likely to be hurt by ai
- Long path but not as much as medicine
- Smallest IQ barrier but to get good prospects you need to attend an elite school
- Bad work life balance
- Prestigious and dark triad alpha reputation

Engineer
- Makes a good amount ($80k-$250k) but getting above this is very hard even for lots of years of experience
- Forced to live in a high cost of living area like San Francisco
- High IQ barrier
- Good job stability, but will have bad recessions (see software engineering)
- will be hurt by AI but not much
- Best work life balance, only need a 9-5, will do very little real work
- Best opportunity for entrepreneurship
- Short path, need no more than a BS and doesn’t need to be from an elite university
- Associated with betas and incels

Finance
- occupations like investment bankers make almost as many as doctors, especially more prestigious firms
- need to be admitted to a top business school
- bad work life balance
- probably bad job stability
- Forced to live in a high cost of living area like New York City
- Lots of nepotism
- need to be extroverted
- Prestigious and dark triad alpha reputation

I don't even know why anyone would want to be a doctor, the money isn't even worth it at that point.

Maybe if your Indian the doctor halo would be worth it but you can get the same effect as a engineer

Doctor halo is better than engineer halo, it’s only gotten worse with all the anime loving trannies in CS

doctors make more than engineers and some have weeks off so it’s a good option if you’re high iq and don’t want to be a billionaire

You don’t need to be admitted to a top business school for finance. They’ll teach you the same shit as the college down the road, most of the learning in finance you will have to do yourself. Only recommend if you have the drive to succeed.

Not worth all that schooling, you will start work 27+ guaranteed meanwhile a guy in finance at 27 is making at least 350k+ a year

i somewhat disagree

Doctor refuted by someone who has worked as a medic for 5 months and is about to be a surgical tech and begin training in surgical assist
- Dont make as much as you think they do. They usually work up to 60-80 hours if they work in surgery so if u want to find out their true salary simply divide by two coz most people work around 30-40 hours.
- engineers are high iq most doctors are glorified search engines with the exceptions of surgeons (Watch dr sunseel dhand)
- Hospitals rn are working on giving midlevels more rights because doctors are for the most part glorified search engines
- if you do the shortest residency ur not gonna make that much and ull catch up with the engineer when ur 50 years old (watch med school insiders but the tldr; doctors catch up at 50 in lifetime earnings with engineers)
- ai part is true
- true
-true

engineering
- the salary is way off its more like 80-120k
- true
- true
- engineers have a horrible job stability because companies are outsourcing them like crazy. Only about 20% of engineers end up working as engineers its prolly less if u remove software.
- idk
- due to the market being oversaturated companies will force u to work more.
- i guess because u work for free
- wrong most of these jobs hire from elite unis only due to the market mostly being oversaturated and offshoring.

Most difficult path, high IQ barrier
Only in US, and even then I'm doubtful they're higher IQ than engineers. Don't compare an average US doctor to an average engineer because engineering is not barred on entry unlike healthcare careers. Googling says 28k people per year graduate from medical schools whereas for engineering it is almost 5 millions. Top-28k engineering graduates would smoke the 28k doctors on an IQ test and it wouldn't be close on average

Higher barrier of entry means you need a higher iq to pass

I'd say once you make it though all the selection processes, you're guaranteed a good life as a doctor. The earning ceiling is lower than for example finance or law (if you're practicing as a doctor and not an entrepreneur) but even mediocre doctors will earn more than most mediocre lawyers, finance professionals or engineers. The school you went to won't matter too much and you can generally practice wherever you want / match.

Lifestyle in high finance is probably the worst - especially if you're young (unless you compare it to a specialty like vascular surgery).

Engineers probably have the least job halo. The nerd + boring + introvert stigma gets to them.
Also the IQ barrier to becoming a top engineer is probably higher than for the rest. But some people might enjoy being able to work from their PC without too much client interactions.

Finance has one of the highest earning potentials but a ton of nepotism, bad reputation in certain circles and the well earning algorithmic trading positions are looking for stem geniuses.
You're bound to a few financial hubs like London, NYC, HK, Frankfurt, Zürich.
The school you went to will matter a lot.

This is a stupid comparison. More logical would be to take the top 1-5% of both groups and then compare the average result of both groups.
But even then, I think the skillset that helps you in engineering is more similar to the one that is tested in traditional IQ tests, than the one needed to be a good doctor.

Surgeons are pretty much set for life tho even after retirement they have job opportunities

Nigga what? You need multiple internships and sometimes a masters too considering the job market now. Also not to mention huge IQ barrier bigger than medicine

Its not because of the cirriculum they hire people from elite schools...

True however if ur medium tier IQ with a crazy work ethic u can become a doctor. I know too many people who had mid or even below average GPAs who got into med school because they were consistent asf and worked their ass of every day. Not for everyone tho

I'm guessing you're american. SO am I. I opted for the medicine route. All i have left is the mcat. But my grades were good.
There is alot of nepotism in certain residencies within medicine as well; derm, optho, plastics
Also medicine is hard to replace so job security is guaranteed unlike the others. Finance and tech are known for highly abusing ampehtamines, law is tough because in order to be good like you said you have to go to a top 40 minimum.

Also anecdote but almost all of the nepotism, and high position places are essentially looking for moggers; tall, robust, handsome etc.
My surgical lab is literally filled with dudes over 6'2. some italian douche claims 6'1 with 1.5 inch of gelled hair and inch minimum nike air maxes.

depends if you're aiming for omfs then its tougher to land that than ENT. I would go the dental route but only for omfs even then its just not worth it. Medicine allows more options.

Hard decision

To me it’s every other thing except doctor

Finance. 1 in 2 niggas I know are engineers. And there is 4 billion niggas in this world. I rarely meet any finance niggas, but if u can get into quant or ib you'll make banks. Law is retarded aswell

doc is the most prestigious
the brutal reality is that youre going to be studying to 30 then work 60 hours a week while your gf is at home getting gangbanged by horse cocked niggers and tattooed bearded meds
