Doctors are more retarded than you think

Went to the GP because I've been having some acne flares since recently. He prescribed me a topical antibiotic and literally said Accutane is a "trash" drug and is the last resort. While I do agree Accutane's side effect profile is brutal compared to other drugs, it is miracle drug since it cures acne in most people, similar to how finasteride reverses/halts hair loss in almost all males. Funnily, when I asked him about finasteride, he had no idea what it was lol.

I have 2 doctor friends and they're really not that knowledgeable about pharmacology at all. Literally I can say (as someone with a degree in the pharmaceutical sciences) that some "bro-science" guys like More Plates More Dates have more pharmacology knowledge than your average GP. All in all, don't always take their advice at face value. Just a friendly reminder the next time there's a second plandemic and they try to fool you into taking another experimental vaccine.

It lowers growth hormone, closes growth plates, can change the color of your bones, can cause depression.

Tretinoin is better.

You should go to a specialist for whatever it is you're looking to them for. Gps are very generalist of course

But yeah even besides that it's true that your average doctor has large gaps in knowledge. They often don't keep up with the latest studies and just use whatever worked for them anectodally. It's inevitable since there's so much happening in the human body
