It is well known that lack of sleep causes skin quality deterioration. Not getting enough sleep makes you look older by a decade. It also makes your testicules become smaller and it lowers testosterone. But I don't know if it contributes to hair loss.

If that raises cortisol, then maybe but I'm sure you can regain it once you'll fix your health

how can lack of sleep be permanent? surely you’re not going to sleep less than 7 hours all your life everyday

I know some guys who don't sleep more than 3 hours during the night for more than 10 years. One of them has become bald at 27. And I'm curious to know if it was caused by lack of sleep.

27 isn’t that old to lose hair if you have the genetics for it

i am pretty certain hair loss caused by anything other than MPB is somewhat reversible at least

The 27 year old guy has many times passed out after staying awaking for too long. One time he fell and hit his head to the toilet flush when he woke up after an hour or so he found his face full of blood. They cannot think clearly most of the time and their reaction is so fucking slow. I'm afraid I'll become like them lol

Habits are difficult to change. They spend their nights gaming, watching series, drinking alcohol or doing business on the internet. The 27 yo dude have been like that since 2007-2008...

probably because of stress

The increase in cortisol due to lack of sleep will not only fuck up hair but other things aswel , like bf distribution

True. I've noticed that I become voracious when I don't get enough sleep.

Nah, all nighters fell better the first few hours and in school kinda but when noon hits i want to collapse. Once i got auditory hallucinations after not sleeping for a whole night. 4 hours at least makes me able to function even though i feel like shit

There is some evidence that declining melatonin could cause hair loss and that topical melatonin helps it
