Does a sliding genioplasty actually raise the hyoid bone?

I just watched a video about bimax and genioplasty and the guys said that a genioplasty raises the hyoid bone. I dont know how that would work, so can anyone confirm or deny that?

It does not raise the bone itself but it does stretch the hyoid skin making it look tighter

BSSO would, yes. I have the same issue and actual surgeon told me this.
