does a tongue tie affect alot in mid puberty

like i have a tongue tie but i feel like its not that bad, i can mew, i have a normal palatte, no speech impediment, no crooked teeth, its just that my tongue is short, i have a bit of downward growth and my tongue doesn't really rest on the palatte passively (the back of my tongue has to be manually raised a bit but the tip is already raised)
