if you are going to give your opinion on the matter, support your argument with some study

It can, but it's not a common side effect.

Rare cases of accutane use report premature epiphyseal closure- however there is only 41 cases of this worldwide; this data was collected by the FDA:

Basically, out of millions that use it, a fraction experienced this. If you're really worried, wait until you're sure you're done growing.

I think we all know about that, I'm not talking about premature epiphyseal closure, I'm talking about how this drug could interact with your height by subtracting you a little

Buddy no need to get scarastic
yes, to an extent, accutane has an effect of slowing of cartilage cell activity, which can subtly affect speed of height growth.
It also has a small negative effect on IGF-1/HGH axis. Negligible imo

sorry, I don't speak English, maybe I expressed myself poorly, I'm trying to look for studies to inform myself more about the matter

TLDR; you'll be fine, but if you can't sleep about it, just wait until you're sure you're finished growing and can't fuck anything up

where this nigger got that number HAHAHA
Clinical trials show

Among 226 patients treated with isotretinoin and 1179 controls, final height differ significantly between groups (−3.7 cm; CI: −10.21 to 6.87). However, patients treated with isotretinoin had a lower postmedication initiation height velocity (−0.42 cm/month; CI: −0.91 to −0.4, P = .05) and a greater reduction in post- versus premedication initiation height velocity (−0.71 cm/month; CI: −1.54 to −0.7, P = .11). Significant dosage effects were observed.

There was one guy i spoke to on dc that took accutane and his growth plate closed at 14 wich capped his height to 165 cm. He got a LL a few months ago and is 170 cm now

in the study itself it says that some boys lost up to 2.21cm from taking it btw

I don't know what that is, a limb lengthening operation? it is almost certain that this boy has only been short, in order to attribute him to accutane it would have to be a case recognized by some institution

yeah, it temporarily stuns growth but theres no proof it stops u from hitting gph

The literal study says it isn't the case, it just gives observations. Study arguments are so retarded on this forum it's not even funny you cannot prove the correlation to be causal.

study verbatim says: "A cause-and-effect relationship between isotretinoin and premature epiphyseal closure cannot be concluded."

Took accutane at 14~, was around 5'11 at the time. Still running low dose accutane now and then as needed. Currently 6'4 at 19. So IMO very unlikely. Especially if you do low doses of 10-20mg. Granted this is anecdotal, but there isn't really good data out there suggesting it has a massive impact.

Got this of google;

"
Based on current clinical studies and data, there is no solid evidence that standard, therapeutic doses of Accutane (isotretinoin) for acne treatment result in a reduced final adult height, despite its known potential to cause temporary growth deceleration. "

So id run it until the acne is gone then switch over to topical tretinoin 0.05%, which also really awesome for skin collagen, and acne management.

Yeah wasn't necessarily coming at you bhai, more so for the stupid people that think it's even true. + it only happens at high doses
