Does Accutane cause permanent hair loss? Also I heard some people say it can speed up MPB, is this true?

I'm thinking about getting back on it because I've used multiple forms of skin care with no results.

I think it is quite rare. Accutane is such a mogger drug, it is worth the risk.

I see. I was on it for 6 months. It helped with the acne but a month in I started thinning like crazy so I left it. Two years later my hair is just as thin.
I'm in a bad position considering my skin is very oily and causes acne but at the same time my hairline is very high and I assume oil helps mitigate my male pattern baldness.
Im not sure what I should do.

I've been on it for 4 months so far but switched brands at the 3 month mark and noticed my eyes got red dry puffy and bloodshot so it's fucked up my eye area so it has risks

Accutane works by artificially inducing hypervitaminosis A, with all it’s effects

destroyed my hair it never came back, im on it again and it will probably make me lose even more hair.

my hair used to be so thick it piled up on itself. now it's so thin you can see straight to my scalp and it just lays flat.

Did you thin in a pattern? As if it was speeding up mbp?

Lost a bit of hair on it, but it was worth it. My dose was really high, i would recommend taking 20mg a day for a longer period instead (appears to be more effective too)

Did it grow back?

Nah. It wasnt much, but it got me scared and made me start fin. Worth noting that baldness is common on both sides of my family so i was prob at risk already.

One more question. Did the hairloss happen in the shape on mpb? I suspect that's what happened to me with Accutane which is why I ask.

How did it go, did it clear your skin?
I went for 6 and a half months (it was supposed to be seven but I decided not to) and it completely cleared my skin, ive taken a picture / videos of myself everyday for about 2 years now so if u wanna see the results and how bad my skin was my discord is Timothy#2296

Tbh I doubt it was the Accutane. Although there are plenty solutions for thin hair and hair loss. Id look into it before your hair quality gets worse

Alright good to hear bro I’m really happy that it cleared your skin, I was on accutane for 9 months and got off like two weeks ago but it didn’t clear my skin. I’ll make sure to add you on dc

I've never disagreed more. This kid had insane hair and the moment he used accutane he began mass shedding for years. Now his hair is all thin and continues to shed over 150 daily despite not taking it for years.. Any overdose of Vitamin A can cause mega hair loss.
