Genuine question. Heard from friends who took "a relatively high dose" had to lower weight and had less performance in the gym.

Usually there isnt much of an issue with performance decreases from acutane, in fact this is the first time im really hearing about it. I assume its from the drying effect. As this guy says take some fish oil, also drink a lot of water. My question is, why would you ever run more than 40mg. Sure you get through a "course" faster but acute effects can be achieved with just 5-10mg daily. If you want the permenant acne decrease you can run a course with like 20-40mg, anything higher is honestly not worth it, accutane is notoriously pretty liver toxic and also can cause mental issues in some.

why fish oil? Is it cause of its nutritional value for skin?
helps with joint pain that accutane gives which is the only reason i could think of lifts going down

Because accutane dries out joints and fish oil helps rid symptoms of dry joints

I ran 40x2 per day and it took like 9 months I think start to finish to clear my acne. The lower the dose the longer it will take, and for a lot of people it’s a huge deal. Only side effect I noticed wa sVERY dry skin

Yeah thats the tradeoff, a hollywood dose for potentially years but with less liver damage and lower side effect profile. Or 60-120mg for half a year maybe more.
