Does ADHD medication really help/how can i minmax its effects?

I’d say i have pretty severe ADHD, I’ve never been diagnosed (because my mom keeps avoiding it) but I’ve had at least 5 teachers throughout the years suggest i take a test for it or say that I probably have it. I think I’ll be able to convince my mom to get me medicated but I just want to be a little bit more knowledgeable on the topic before i do.

I wouldn’t pay for it lol, im pretty well off. Plus i already tried to get some skincare from India mart and got caught

adhd meds are not work the downsides unless youre at least over 18, fucks your brain up you get bloated asf. otherwise its worth just cause u can socialise better

you said you have extreme ADHD, any extreme ADHD meds like any amphetamines ALWAYS have bad side effects. If youre taking something a bit less extreme like ritalin, youll be fine. i would ask for ritalin specifically cause its got the least amount of downsides and you can get higher doses whenever you need

Im diagnosed and I can say stay away from those meds it can cause so many things that aren’t healthy just look it up was on them meds for 2 years fucked my social life made my aggression problems worse also good effects like stopping of stress
