Does anybody here know how to properly archive music?

I want to archive about 3-5k songs, most of them are pretty niche so theres definitely not people trying to archive them, what is the move here?
I want a way thats kinda portable day to day, and has alot of storage but isnt a phone ykwim?
Like which kind of mp3 player should i get for so many songs
