i don't like being complimented because it makes me uncomfortable, what is the point in being complimented if it's not going to lead anywhere? just making things awkward for no reason especially when its women double my age

you're probably better looking than you think if girls you talk to consistently bring up your looks.

one thing i have found is when i look in the mirror in my room i see myself as very mediocre, maybe even slightly ugly, but it doesn't make sense because i keep getting iois especially at work.

I have to keep reminding myself that faces are 3D and mostly seen in natural lighting. And especially if you're lean, The benefits of angularity don't tend to show in frontal shots of yourself with overhead lighting, for example looking straight at yourself in a mirror in your room with a light above you.

Maybe i'm coping but i feel like this is true based on my experience trying to figure out where i stand in terms of looks.
