does anyone else feel like they’re only friends with people who want to be friends with them?

like im not out here choosing who i want to be close with
im just accepting who decided i was good enough
not “i picked them”
just “they picked me and i said yes”

and maybe that’s normal
but it makes me wonder if i’ve ever actually built a real friendship
or if i’ve just been saying yes to whoever decided i was convenient
