Just wear contacts. I pussied out when offered the first time in middle school but once you get used to sticking your fingers in your eye you'll be fine. You can also buy special tweezers to take out contacts if you're too squeamish.

I have dailies, you can get ones you wear once a day and just throw out at the end of the day. It's somewhat wasteful but whatever, it's safer.

"Dailies" are contacts you wear once a day.

These are mine, each capsule holds one contact and I have a couple of these boxes for each eye. You just wear them for a day and toss them, a little lower maintenance since you don't have to store them long-term or worry about them being damaged in another case you might put them in.
