Does anyone else try to get over a oneitis but end up having a romantic dream about them?

This has happened so many times in the past. It happened to me this morning. I caught myself developing a onietis for a foid co worker in the past month so I reminded myself that I have no chance at all which helped me coped but then I had a fucking romantic dream about her and woke up at 3am just sitting there blank. I laugh at it now but why does it even happen?
