Does poor short term memory and weak working memory means you will have to wageslave for all your life?

It depends, you have to be good at at least one subject, Einstein was good at science, but he ignored the rest

Yeah, I tried very hard in school and still got shit grades. I'm definitely low iq, but it doesn't mean you can't get a decent job. I'm a developer making over 100k now even being low iq. My GPA in university was 2.4.

My cope is that since my lower jaw is recessed it causes my airway to be narrow which means less oxygen for my brain. I'm hoping jaw surgery will improve blood flow in my body to make me smarter.

Cope, if you are smart in one area you would be smart in other areas, Einstein just wasn't interested in other subjects.

Not necessarily, no. Schools all around the world are full of incompetent teachers/professors and some have absurd criteria when grading students. The few kids that do well when the teacher is really bad are either

  1. Tutored by someone else outside of school, whether that is a parent that teaches or just any other expert.
  2. Children of a teacher already at the same school.
Now if most of the class is efficient to the teaching methods applied and you happen to not me one of them there could be a problem, although again it's more than likely you have a flawed judgement in regards to how you rate the amount of effort you've put in.

Also you most likely haven't learned how to learn i.e. you quit the very first moment you come across something you cannot understand instantly.

Most of the time, I think truly low IQ people (below 100) aren't aware of it, without ofc being aware of it meaning you're high IQ.

Forgot to talk about what you find interesting or not. I simply sucked at everything that had to do with Finance & Business, never touched them and I got pretty bad grades. I'm pretty sure there were people with higher grades than mine that are lower IQ than me.

only focusing on one subject and not caring enough for others is completely different to trying to do good at school and miserably failing

I probably didn't study for more than 10 hours in my life.
No point if you're incel. Life ends after college. If you had a shit time in highshool and missed out on teen love your life is more than half over.

its more about laziness vs work ethic, you have to be borderline retard or gifted level for iq to have a significant effect

grades are much more about following instructions and repetition than they are about iq

most teachers are retarded npcs, literally female. females cant even form sapient thoughts let alone teach

Most people are in the normal range for the sum of the weight of all of the factors other than IQ, so grades at school are a pretty good indication. Also, some of the other factors, such as conscientiousness, are correlated with IQ. You'd frequently be wrong if you evaluated people that way, because there are lots of people who happen to score highly on a few negatively weighted factors, like people who really don't like to be told what to do. But there's usually a limit to just how negatively that affects grades, and that limit depends on school, grade inflation, etc.

TLDR I've known really smart science people, and they tended to range between around 3.5 to 4.0 grade point average where I went to high school. Some of the clever dark triads I knew in other places usually got between a 3.0 and a 3.5.

One thing to consider is that someone could have high spatial IQ but relatively low verbal IQ, and a really high overall IQ. But the low verbal IQ might bring down so many grades, while the high spacial IQ might not be expressed as much. Add in a mood disorder and they could have bad grades. You really need to look at someone individually.

OP, there are also developmental disorders that affect your learning experience.
Speaking of my example, growing up I used to experience exactly the same way that you do : poor short term memory and working memory.
It was not until I myself did some reading and diagnosis of my condition that I realized that I was among those genius IQ kids who are hyper-focused. Didn't perform well in school because I was never interested in it (Didn't realize this when I was in school).
Lots of history's greatest creative geniuses had this problem. Einstein found school boring. I find typical education useless too.

If you are actually trying and still getting bad grades you are super low iq. And it’s probably because your low iq prevented you from finding an efficient method

IQ is in correlation to work ethic

People saying "I'm smart and I just don't apply myself" are coping hard

You've got a point, but there are a few things that could come into play, like media addiction, etc.

I knew a girl who failed out of university once because she was addicted to camming with men around the world.
