Being in shape can help you become alpha, but being alpha is a matter of character. No such thing as Alpha or Beta but there is strong and weak minded men which you could argue are the same thing as alpha or beta but not really.

And muscle isnt necessarily an indicator of a strong man mentally but it can be. For example the beta is the type of guy who will start working out and immediately hop on steroids within his first few years and get huge. Is he strong mentally? No he's a pussy who doesnt want to put in any real effort.
