No, people are genuinely not caring anymore. Even YouTube is not so strict.

About a year ago I would get a 24 hour ban from commenting on YouTube about once a week to "protect the community" for posting misogynistic, racist, or violent comments. I haven't changed my behavior one bit but I haven't gotten banned from commenting in about 8 months.

People are sick and tired of cancel culture.

I've heard people say it's all to do with generation Z. They say that gen Z grew up being called racists, misogynists, and homophobes. The result is that they don't give a fuck and there's nothing you can say that will hurt them.

Cancel culture can only exist because of cowards. It can only thrive when people are able to be shamed into walking on eggshells. Generation Z doesn't feel ashamed though. And it's like, I don't give a fuck if I lose my job because I'll just get another one.

Good for generation Z.

I've told people at work (women) that I've beaten my wife and that I think it's right for men to hit women in certain situations. I've said the word "nigger" in front of blacks at work and told just about everyone how I used to purposely make prostitutes uncomfortable when I fucked them because I got off on them feeling like a piece of meat. And this is all while being recorded too. Everywhere at my workplace is video and audio recorded.

Nobody ever tried to get me in trouble for any of the things I've said. People have challenged the things I've said with visceral reactions but I never backed down. In the end they know I don't give a fuck and that's partly why nobody ever thinks of crying to HR. For sure they admire my boldness as well.
