Anyone done the surgery or have experience with the results? Most if not all pics I see of either canthoplasty or canthopexy just change the eyeshape but don't really affect the canthal tilt much if at all. I don't want to waste thousands of bucks on a surgery that doens't fix my problem. My eye shape is fine, it's the tilt that's bothering me.

Boyo, canthoplasty does NOT change the eyelid shape. Canthoplasty is ALWAYS combined with one of the procedures that can change the SHAPE of the eyelid, is either spacer graft + canthoplasty, or midface list + canthoplasty, or implant + canthoplasty, or some other shit + canthoplasty.

Canthoplasty ALONE can ONLY raise your PCT: however, this is NOT reliable. A lot of reports that the outer canthus then still drops after some time - unreliable. AND canthoplasty can RAISE your lower eyelid A LITTLE (up to 1-2mm). However, This will not change the shape of the eyelid. So no almond-shaped eyes for Leto-cels. :feelsrope:

So let's say I have pretty decent eyes in every regard besides tilt, what would you recommend to fix it?

Drill-hole canthopexy. Or sth similar to this. I am not an expert on this. But this is what Eppley does, and some other plastic surgeons.

canthoplasty is retarded since it doesnt fix the actual problem, only provides a retarded half-solution

after canthoplasty ur orbits are.. still shit AND ur undereyes will still look saggy and hollow

if u want a real canthal tilt fix u need infra and zygo implants, not only will it provide support to ur saggy undereyes but it'll push the skin and lower eyelid upwards at the corners giving you a hunter eye striking pct look

I'm pretty new to this so I might be wrong, but don't infraorbital implants go away in like 2-3 years? Isn't canto a more permanent solution?

no but only thing I don't like about implants is it could dissolve the bone underneath even further and could lead to complications later on, if u ever had to have ur implants removed ur eye area will look even more shit

My under eye support is average, eye shape is good. Only 2 failos are the tilt and dark circles (I'm planning to remove those with laser treatment). I don't want to grind my bones though, do you think just getting cantho will be worth it if I'm not willing to go the implant route?

I'll tell you if you should go with cantho if u can do a test for me

squint and pull ur lower eyelid upward from the sides slightly and go under direct light
does the area look saggy and hollow?
if yes then cantho isn't going to look good on you
