Does chess have anything to do with IQ?

My younger brother is really smart- medical doctor, who graduated with a bachelors degree in Chemistry and a close to 4.0 gpa. Not very good at chess.

I was a 9th grader when I beat a guy studying civil engineering at one of the best colleges for engineering in the USA . At the time I was struggling with Algebra(I was like 15)

Then again, there are some average IQ black nigger chess hustlers in NYC who can beat everyone in chess.

IMO, no, but what are you thoughts? Agree or disagree?

I think u just proved it's not correlated, bozo

Somewhat but chess masters are always groomed at like 5 for it and is for the most part a complete waste of their skills on a game that is essentially finished/completed

I'm not too educated on chess but some people just memorize the moves of more intelligent chess players and use it. Some people also don't have the focus or knowledge of chess to be good at it.

Yeah it has to do with a certain kind of IQ such as memory, planning and strategizing. You need to think of possibilities of the moves and think 10 steps ahead. INTJs are the best at chess.

But Perceiver types like INTPs and ENTPs might not be so good at it.
