I’ve seen a lot of claims that chewing mastic gum can make your jaw look sharper and even help create hollow cheeks over time.
I understand that mastic gum is much harder than regular gum and heavily engages the masseter muscles, but I’m trying to separate myth from reality.
My questions:
I’m not expecting bone changes, just wondering if there’s any legit aesthetic benefit or if it’s mostly placebo.

My questions:
- Can chewing mastic gum actually increase masseter size enough to improve jaw definition?
- Can it help with a recessed chin? since my chin is a little recessed
- Does it help with hollow cheeks, or does masseter hypertrophy make the face look wider instead?
- Is any visual change permanent or just temporary muscle pump?
- How long and how often would someone need to chew to see any noticeable changes?
