Wait a year and open up a tfsa or open up a custodial account with a parent. Dropshipping isn't viable in 2026. With the right trades you can make around 1k a month or more with 7k. Your level of growth will increase with the amount you put in.

You will get taxed when it comes to any investments you make on coinbase. I also believe coinbase charges you a transaction fee per trade that you make. Find an online brokerage that has a $0 transaction fee and see if you can start there. I would recommend opening an account with Questrade.

I still see some mfs succeed with it tho, it’s just harder now and the business model is much more complex. What would you recommend tho?

That's actually a really great start. When I invest I follow something called the thirds rule. Keep a third of the money as a safety net or put it in a passive no risk account through your personal bank. Use a third of it in bonds and etfs. Use the last third in whatever risky trades you want to make. If you invest around 25-30k on riskier trades you can make at least 5k a month or more if you're active with your trades.
