Does exposure therapy to nt people work? should i keep doing it?

I once in a while go hang out with my neurotypical friends and stay over at their house, we do activities that are normal, last time we made a campfire and roasted marshmellows on it(most generic thing, shit felt out of some bullshit movie scene), it felt nice but at the same time i felt out of place like i didnt belong, people were singing and shit and laughing, i kinda just got the fire started and listened to what they said for most of the time. after that i was kind of drained? like i wanted everyone to leave me alone for a while, like i had enough, like my battery drained, a cooldown or something. shits really weird, will i get used to it?
 
yes but dont force yourself if you dont want to, its nice to get used to approaching people and being more extroverted but dont force yourself to the point that it becomes a chore and you are unhappy
