Does eyelid pull and icehood work or is it cope?

I wouldn't do eyelid pulling. You can damage muscles and looksmin. Ice hooding is ok but questionable. What i found was best for hunter eyes is staying in the sun without eye protection or generally permasquinting. Check out this thread:
