Does "fake writing" work as well as real writing when trying to memorize ?

like instead of writing down text from a textbook to help you memorize the content, would it make any difference if you fake wrote in the air w no pen/paper. ?

speaking it out loud helps you remember it more easily. Since im high iq I managed to memorize a 3 minute speech within 10 minutes of repetition.

No. When you're writing your making a connection by correlating your memory with the letters your writing. This allows you to better remember the information as you have some I guess beacon to come back too. That's why typing is less effective for taking notes. Jfl I don't know i'm pulling this shit out of my ass tbh.

My guess is that air writing would be 50% as effective as real writing. I think you need the tactile feedback of real writing to form the memory.
