I'm assuming it does because of the salt it has

My weight hasn't changed despite me eating in my 500-calorie defecit and tracking everything perfectly. I imagine it's just water retention from the salt in the food.

Yes because of sodium and water retention. Alot of the weight you lose/ gain when you first start a diet isn't fat, its actually water

I know. I was just wondering. I lowkey knew it's because of the salt in the food cause I'm OCD when it comes to counting my calories

It can initially but that effect is temporary. As long as you stay in a constant deficit, your weight will eventually drop.
