How come my 205lbs 25-30%bf fatass of a dad can throw wood logs I can't even lift despite me having more muscle mass than him

Because being fat gives less strains on the muscle

Yes. Fat people are stronger than skinny people.

Sure, I just haven't looked up to what causes it. Maybe motor unit recruitment increases as we age, or rate coding

no strength is to do with muscle fibres, nuclei density and motor unit recruitment. Force is to do with mass. Fat people have more mass so they will have more force output but force ≠ strength

well your dad has strength under all of that, think of the fat like a weighted backpack that your constantly wearing. He might have trained before since muscle memory is a thing (idk if it correlates with strength)
