Does fighting fix bad reputation?I need serious advice

The only way to fix a shitty repuatation is by picking fights and winning them?A few years ago I got jumped by multiple people from behind and luckily I managed to run but just got a black eye and it seems if I get in arguments people always bring that shit up!And it seems like people don't respect me as much as they used to and being a manlet really doesn't help me jfl!Should I just win more fights to regain my repuatation because I don't see any solution like I really feel I have nothing to lose as my repuatation is already quite shitty?

What likely will happen is that you start a fight you couldn't finish, piss off the wrong people and give them an excuse to pursue the police or retaliate with extreme force(weapons or multiple people helping them)
Unless you're really athletic or have been training a martial art for some time, then this will not end well. Get revenge on the people who jumped you, though. Those pussies have it coming

Thanks for the advice, I don't want to boast about my athleticism, but I am pretty athletic and I have done mma+kickboxing and I am not scared even if I would lose as I am not unexperienced, but those who did that to me only go out with lots of people+weapons and they do everything to win(stupid wannabe gangsters) and I don't have a lot of friends and connections to fight them, we would always be outnumbered, I can't have "the revenge" you are talking about and I am trying to find ways to get a better reputation and be more respected, it really feels like my life went downhill since then and most people barely respect me

Sometimes even when you're truly friends with someone, they are non-combatant civilians to the core and you can't expect them to help you

To be honest it didn't "sting" that much because it wasn't a fair fight, it just frustrates me because it kind of ruined my reputation, people don't care if it was fair or not, they just see the winners and losers, but the truth is I got jumped by multiple guys and it was unexpectedly and they just got a few hits on me and then I managed to escape!
And as for the friends part, I have friends, but not enough and I would never rely on them on similar situations!
