god is a being which nothing greater can be imagined
non-existence is not greatness
and therefore he exists

The true answer is we don’t know and it can’t be proved until after death.

Primarily because we have not seen any significant truthful evidence to suggest that a god exists as many religions have their own texts that they use as evidence. There could be one true religion or there could be none and there wouldnt be an afterlife and we would die just like any organism. This is why it cannot be proved until death.

so what? what if heaven nor hell doesn't exist, but only god does? you will not know it even after death. And debunk my first claim

Idk if this is a diss. But even that guy cliffe that goes around preaching the Bible says that there is no definitive proof that god exists. He says that the likelihood is that he does because that is the inference he’s made based off of the evidence he’s seen. So he chooses to believe. No one is sure and we never will be unless we have that hard proof.

You cant define something into existence. Existence can’t be proven by words alone.

Give me a full breakdown on how the big bang came into existence without a cause.
Claiming that God exists because we don't know for sure how the universe began isn't positive proof of his existence. It's just an alternative explanation without direct evidence. The burden of proof rests on the person making the claim.

Good explanation. God is just an alternative explanation to the Big Bang. It could be something else entirely that we don’t have the comprehension to understand.

That's not an answer. God exists or he doesn't. "I don't know" is a non answer.

Yes but it is the only answer I can give right now. You may give the answer of yes and that is solely based on belief. If you were to give an answer of yes based on proof alone then you would be gambling.

Since when were we talking specifically about the Abrahamic God? The OP was questioning whether the existence of a God exists not the Abrahamic God,We’re discussing the existence of God in general not a particular religious interpretation

Yes I am just using one of the advocates for religion as an example. If there is any solid hard proof to suggest that a god even exists then please present it to me. Cliffe was just the first example I thought of.

Yes I do believe in a god and do believe in a higher power. But you asked me whether or not a god exists. That is a definitive. That’s why I cannot give you a 100% correct answer.

You’re shifting the topic I didn’t claim "God exists because we don’t know"’ I asked how the big bang began without a cause if you can’t provide a cause you’re equally making a metaphysical claim that the universe caused itself.

I don't understand why when it comes to God people feel the need to insert this "We don't know and can't know" shit into it. Yeah, we're stating an opinion. Any other topic nobody does this.

Just because you can imagine a perfect being doesn’t mean he exists. You can imagine a perfect world. Doesn’t mean it’s real.

Good point. If I had to give an opinion I would say I believe in a God.

I’m not claiming the universe caused itself I’m pointing out we don’t know yet. That’s not a metaphysical claim, it’s a suspension of judgment. Meanwhile, you're asserting a specific cause without evidence. If you want to claim that God caused the universe, then you bear the burden of proof not me.
