I feel like perhaps you develop this because other people don’t want to play/hang out with you growing up so you become more insular. It’s more nurture than nature perhaps.

I know an asperger that could have been Chico 2.0 unironically, but instead avoids any kind of social stuff and spends all day at home, ignoring all the girls that were giving invitations to fuck them and acts extremely immatute like a child(avoiding eye contact, etc.), he's always been gl. I think you can tell pretty early on if a kid is more or less "autistic", don't think it's something that can develop after a certain a young age
