@trumpwillwin

is it possible to have no bite problems but still be recessed

or at that point is it just weak bones

its 100% possible to have a perfect bite/teeth and still be recessed

does 100% of convex profiles signal recession, is it possible to be slightly convex and not recessed.

do you mean concave? convex would be protruding, no?

Absolutely possible.

You could have had camouflage orthodontics and ended up with a perfect bite, but skeletally still recessed.

Also you could have teeth hanging above the other giving you the illusion of a perfect bite, but once they are all in place, have an overjet.

Not really. If, though, by “recessed” you mean small chin and flat maxilla then yes.

you are recessed. 99,9% of modern humans are recessed. Only if you were raised in a really tough diet, breastfed for enough time and a lot of other variables you are not recessed. The 0.1% im putting here are some people who are already genetically adapted to modern environment but honestly i dont even know if they exist.

Yeah in my case I have good bite but the teeth are inward due to natural compensation. I will have bimax with both jaws advanced after the decompensation phase. But there are some retarded orthos who refused me treat me because I have camouflage and it is finre lol

If i shot your face with a shotgun and your jaws flew out of your face and landed on the ground, but they still had a perfect bite, would you say your jaws are correctly placed and that you dont need surgery to put them back into your face? Or do you think recession is based on the relation of the jaws to the skull, not based on the bite?

Absolutely not, you can have a class I bite and a skeletal class II.

Convex most resembles the current beauty standard which is anteface. But it has to be anteface due to exceptional forward growth of the maxilla and mandible rather than having a recessed upper third.
