Does low hyoid bone always mean recessed jaw?

My jaw looks good, is wide and square, I even have cheek hollows at low bf and I've gotten multiple compliments on it from women I've slept with, and my chin projects quite far forward, it certainly doesn't look recessed from the profile. The problem is my hyoid bone is noticeably low causing slight under chin sagging that is especially bad right now that I'm slightly fatter than normal due to health problems.

I will say my jaw is slightly smaller than I think would be objectively ideal but it isn't actually small, just smaller than I think would be perfect. It seems I still have an overall above average jaw despite this.

I had two teeth removed as a kid for braces and I'm thinking perhaps my jaw didn't grow as large as it should have even though it still grew quite well overall. What's going on here? Am I secretly recessed?

No... low hyoid means low hyoid, Alessandro Dellisola has a low hyoid and his jaw isn't recessed at all, plenty of other examples too just can't think of them off the top of my head

Interesting because my jaw is basically exactly the same as his, I would say my chin is even larger

However his chin is slightly recessed, no?
