Does height really matter?

I've seen alot of people mostly on here and tiktok saying if you're under 6ft its over but is that really the case? From my own experience in my friend group height never was the deciding factor. The 2 friends in my friend group who get the most hoes are actually 5'7 but they got insane appeal and charisma. I would say that there are alot of people just coping with saying that its only about height and not really even trying

(not saying it doesnt matter at all but people nowdays are just coping saying they're short as if its the only reason)
