Does high bodyfat % make your maxilla and midface look flatter and recessed than it actually is?

Actually, not having fat is more noticeable if the maxila is flat, but yes, it can happen because there might be excess skin that "rounds out" the midface, giving the impression of sagging skin.

Yes it will.

Your fat on your zygos will protrude out way more

Yeah that’s what got me thinking about this. I mean his maxilla looks kinda flat on some angles even when he’s lean doesn’t it? Idk but it seems that way to me at least.
 
In some cases where you genuinely have some level of midface hypoplasia it's the opposite, fat can mask it. That's why fat grafting has become so popular and some surgeons use it as a semi-substitute for midface implants. But it depends on if you actually have a recessed midface or not
