Does higher gonial angle mean more downward facial growth?

If I understood it correctly downward growth is also associated with other features such as droopy nose, negative canthal tilt and scleral show, and recessed maxilla. So a higher gonial angle isn't always more downward grown. I could be wrong tho I don't understand downward / forward growth that much.

Yes 95% of the times. But sometimes you might have perfect forward grown jaw with 90° 100° gonial but your other features may be recessed. Like gooks with flat maxillas and noses

It can mean downward growth but some people have a naturally long mandible body which means shorter ramus and higher gonial angle

so a long mandible causes a short ramus?
