Does IQ correlate with music taste?

This is a genuine question I've had for a while.

I've noticed that often around genuinely just stupid people they tend to listen to
more mainstream pop-centred music, or music that is trending on apps like TikTok,
and IG reels.

Im unsure if this has anything to do with being easily influenced, or just
genuinely liking the shit mainstream pop music that has no substance to it.

In contrast around the people I've met who are genuinely smart I've noticed they
listen to more niche music, and stick to certain genres or sub genres of the main
genre they like.

I guess, but still in my personal experience people who listen to that less complex music genuinely are just low IQ.
They get shit grades etc, and with some their official IQ is low

If you are high IQ then you will rationalize things. Jazz, Blues, Classical, Neo classical, ambient music, some genres of metal So really more instrumental music.
Modern artists often use lyrics as a way to express the tone of the song instead of the instruments
themself, and in older music, or some genres where vocals aren't as present I don't notice this.

Correlation doesn't equal causation. I'm almost certain my IQ is average and I never listen to mainstream music. IQ is too nuance to associate with any singular trait.
