Does Isotretinoin work at higher doses?

I am already done with my acutane cycle but my skin appeal is still trash and topical tret isn’t working. I typically see small dose acutane being used to maintain good skin but that’s at like 10-15 mg daily. If I were to take 40mg pills weekly or biweekly would that have a similar effect or just cook me with all the acutane downsides

I take 40 mg a week just for collagen and etc I don’t hae no acne
