Does Italy have any IT jobs or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Title. Any IT jobs available? The ones I see online are low pay and very boring repetitive roles. Does Italy have any IT infrastructure or is the entire country in a permanent Neetmaxxed LDAR state? Spain also seems to be the same

Pretty much, but we have a lot more savings than spaniards.

You wonβ€˜t find many good paying IT jobs. Maybe in a risk management department of a large bank, but thats it.

I wasn't particularly very impressed with germany either. Only ones that pay well seem to be Switzerland, UK but nothing is close to the US.

Not familiar with Italy, however, i talked to my uncle about IT job opportunities in Switzerland and it seems that the salary is good there.

Maybe moving out of the UK isn't such a great idea.
Moving to the US is a good idea but because of Mr Trump you can't stay there for long

Never knew that south and north are so culturally distinct. Do you know why is that?

Eheh that’s a long story we call the β€œquestione meridionale”, similar to the african theme.
Northerners say it’s because they are slackers, stupid and lazy.
Southerners say it’s because a late 19th century figure, β€œGaribaldi” robbed them of their resources and richness while he unified Italy (yes, the state is relatively new, it was born in 1861, we even talked different languages prior to that date)

Spainish people are mostly NEETs from what I've seen. Nobody is interested in working a job and just own buisness or live off government money or ancestral wealth. Most of Europe except UK, Germany and Switzerland is like this.

the discrepance arises from a lot earlier than that (referring to the nazi stuff ofc)

spanish people always brag about living life by the creed of working to live rather than living to work

I’ve been to Spain a couple of times and I can confirm. People there feel lazy in a way. I haven’t really visited the entirety of Spain so I can’t say that all people there are like that but everyone there is kinda of lazy and depressed

@Saint Casanova my boss also has the exact same opinion about meds in general. He considers them to be lazy freeloaders.

Work 10 hrs a week and then just walk around, go to cafes and drink wine. Not sure how must sustain that.

IMO, you have better luck becoming a Serie A footballer or a model than being very successful in tech in Italy.

The main industries there are fashion, hospitality, food/wine ect

Probably the weather plays a big part into that tbh. why bother working when you're living by the beach with nice sunny weather and a cool breeze and you get paid by the government for existing

its true. a lot of people "work" in hospitality for 20-30h/week and just enjoy their life in the rest of the time. we call it "dolce vita" which translates to "the good/sweet life"

You're talking about great civilizations that have lived good lives for two millennia.

People here just don't strive to be corporate slaves, like a lot of people from developing economies or third-world countries. I don't fault them.

It’s good to enjoy life but too much comfort is not good for the country. Hard work, being ambitious and chasing opportunities is what makes nations great. There’s a reason the U.S. leads the world in everything and meds are falling behind in influence and power

Idk, never been but based on others experiences it seems like there shouldn’t be any problems finding a job there although the market can be quite competitive. At least it isn’t the US or UK most importantly Canada where you might fuck yourself up.
