Does jaw filler recreate how a jaw implant would look?

yeah I’ll trust the world class plastic surgeon to do it over some 13 year old. Thanks.

I’m sorry your clueless. You’d probably use HA to replicate bone mass. Like a clown.

You can go look at Jason Emers work on instagram.
eh. Found about 5 or so videos after scrolling past all the boobies and balls. They look better on higher bf% faces, don't look angular enough, but ig you gotta compensate a bit.

Not that this thread agrees but I tend to think implants do provide more angularity their a lot of issues with them though. Chin implants tend to be the only ones widely done. You can get custom wrap around jaw implants, or lots of others if you want to take the risk.

Emmers work is as best as it’s going to get for fillers. He’s insanely high skilled and is a flaming homo. Who works mostly on men and has been doing it since the 90s. So it’s that, try fat grafts which probably also have limited angularity, something worse or implants.

Why not just an osteotomy? Or is that worse than implants?

Because we’re talking about adding volume, that would remove volume. Could it improve gonial angle, yes but at the cost of a smaller overall jaw. Which doesn’t seem to be the goal.

Radiesse has low migration when
the filler is injected supraperiosteal. When you are using filler for vertical augmentation you're now injecting it ontop of filler (not supraperiosteal) - cantilever effect. You also have to fight gravity now due to the vector being vertically parallel to it as opposed to horizontal projection vector perpendicular to gravity. Now it's more prone to migration into your submental region even if you're using Radiesse - You're limited in how much you can inject before it gets bad and because it's semi permanent too.

There aren't any studies or articles AFAIK it's just your boy Emer advertising the wonders of it on realself for vertical augmentation and anecdotally I know a couple cases where it's gone wrong.
