Both are important more so the cheekbones but if ur jaw is very narrow there won’t be anything to show there no matter how popping ur cheekbones are
tbf im not sure how large of a part jaw width effects it. this mf has a jaw width of 76% of zygos width which is far out the ideal 85%-95%

also this random guy i found online has width 76%

forward growth, zygos, jaw width, outward gonions, bf %, bloat, etc.

in agreement with forward growth and zygos. i think that’s the main 2. provided you are low bf and have minimal bloat. im not sure jaw width matters tho, that’s what im tryna see.
for example these two have subhuman jaw widths tbh, 76% is very below average when the ideal is 85-95, yet they have good hollows. second guys gonians don’t even look outwards either .

Jaw width is not too important, it's more about mandibular length and chin height as these two things stretch the skin to hollow your face out. There are more factors at play but for jaw exclusively these are the only aspects affecting it.

what other plays a part. from what i’ve understood it’s only body fat, zygos, chin height and chin.

also how does one determine if they have good mandibular length?

Skull height and zygo mass affects how lean your face appears generally. Then of course bodyfat as well. To some extent palate width as a narrower palate can allow for a sharper deeper hollow to appear.

Chin should align with browridge in side.

It depends on even more. Palate width, canine fossa

Wide zygos, flared gonions and a not so wide palate should give the appearance of hollow

is deep or shallow more ideal for hollows?
Shallow imo, you don't have to be super lean with shallow hollows, which will make your overal face more appealing. Too low bodyfat makes you look malnourished.

yeah when u have a deep canine fossa, ull look like shit at anything above 12% tbh. however imo deep is more masculine looking when u do reach the ideal body fat.

It's all about forward growth

there does not appear to be any relationship between the two whatsoever, if anything people who are more downgrown and thus have worse forward position of the mandible tend to have better hollows because it stretches the skin more.

what are the requirements for hollows? does jaw width play a role? these guys here both appear to have 76% bigonal width which is low.

jaw width hardly stretches the skin at all, although gonial flaring makes the lines look better, doesn't make them any deeper though.

don’t most men have gonian flair. i saw this somewhere. idk if true.
yeah, like 80%+ of all skeletons have it.
what contributes to making deep lines?
palate, canine fossa, downgrowth, ramus length, cheekbone density and structure, fat distribution.

people with wide palates tend to have small hollows near the outside of the gonion.

I have an extremely narrow palate so my lines go all the way to the middle of my face.
