cortisol levels arent only related to just stress, its also overall stimulation and energy production. what does jerking off do? we all know. in the moment cortisol rises, and right after it continues to rise for a bit. but you do get some oxytocin lol... but then again you get prolactin which is imo what you should be more worried about when talking about ts, if you are extremely stressed and you jerk off to calm down it may reduce in the moment cortisol level but it trains your brain in a very very bad way long term. long term porn and jerking off will cause overall cortisol levels long term, also your lifestyle gets effected and can cause a more cortisol causing life style where your brain expects jerking off in times where you cant and can spike stress and reduce motivation, increase procrastination, and sleep quality and length (once in a while jerking it might help with sleep, but frequently (eg daily) can do the opposite) and all that is just cortisol spiking.

once in a while it might be good, doing it often is bad, doing it not at all is best as once you learn self control from that you can prevent other things from being cortisol spiking

Have a gf and hugs her lower cortisol?

yes, ill try to explain without writing a wall of words, it boosts oxytocin which works in opposite levels to cortisol, meaning more oxytocin=less cortisol, it can also be good for blood pressure regulation as well as heart rate, people with tachycardia (high heart rates) and hypertension (high blood pressure) who have a significant other have been told to increase the amount of non active intimacy between the two as your body activates the parasympathetic nervous system which can work to rebalance hormones and neurotransmitters including cortisol, intimacy also effects your digestive system and you have a gut–brain axis which includes cortisol, messed up digestive system can cause cortisol spikes from your digestive system straining and overacting which can make disgestion worse and therefore cause more cortisol spike causing more digestion issues which puts one in a cycle of cortisol, but if you do things like snuggle with someone your body parasympathetic nervous system takes itself out of fight or flight and instead comes to a resting mode where it can focus on proper non strenuous digestion.

to end the wall of words im writing: think about how people can sleep better when spooning, its because its easier for the body to relax.

sorry this sounds like im throwing a bunch of big words to sound nerdy and correct, please feel free to fact check this, i personally dont have exp with this, this is all from stuff ive read and understood and interpreted by myself and for myself, shit can always be corrected

What you posted was very interesting and super informative. No doubt all of this is true, especially the body parasympathetic part between you and your significant other. It would do a lot for me because digestion issues is a problem despite being active and eating healthy. Too bad I'll never get to experience this.
