Does lactose intolerance affect nutrients from dairy products? And if so what substitutes could i use for the calcium and protein?

I wanna calcium and protein max with dairy products but im worried that its all pointless because of my fuckass digestive syndrome.

I would imagine you still digest the nutrients, just take lactaid or whatever. Either way drinking tons of milk isnt gonna fix any actual issues.
