Does lefort 1 with impaction shorten philtrium?

Does it shorten philtrum or exclusively only gum show?

I thought about the same thing since I have a 2 cm philtrum. It doesnt make sense to me that it can reduce the philtrum unless u get more projection which can push the upper lip forward giving the illusion of a shorter philtrum. Also u need to figure out whether ur philtrum is caused by a long face or a high subnasal base.

Only gum show, check out before and afters. The philtrum is just like a hanging flap of flesh. There is nothing that would stretch it down.
