It probably is at first until you get accustomed to it. Every pleasurable state/activity reaches a wall after you build a tolerance to it

Yes. Yes it does.

Ofc it's excitement value goes away but the underlying satisfaction and sense of secyrity always remains. It's like having a house vs being homeless. Sure having a house is not exactly exciting but you always enjoy having a home, at least subconsciously.

True, I agree withd this honestly. High IQ as you are able to acknowledge the feeling isn't permanent - rather it is temporary and fades but provides comfort too.

However, during times of life crisis you don't look to your looks and the other things are more important. For instance, if you get a health issue, something as extreme as cancer etc. You won't care for your looks any more, the only issue is to beat the cancer.

Yeah ofc. But looking good = better money earning potential = able to afford better treatment

Value is always good.

Honestly, a better way to convey what I describe can be conveyed through hormones. The excitement is about dopamine. You're excited about discovering or learning new things. It's about chasing what's new and expanding your reach. This is nature's way to make sure you explore different areas and keep a good pace at it and never really slow down, so your species can advanve. It isn't about everlasting satisfaction.

Good looks gives you that novelty initially because it brings you good opportunities.

But after you are used to it, now oxytocin takes it's place to make you feel satisfied, content and secure. It isn't exactly exciting pleasure but it feels good too in a different way.

To say that good looks don't matter after a while is a total mirepresentation of how these systems work or why they exist. In other words, it's total cope.

i mean they're born good looking so they see no difference aside from their dating life ig, but in some actually rare cases you do get benefits simply from being good looking

You should read the poem 'For Anne Gregory '
It's a good poem for those who deny looks don't matter
