Does lymecycine work?

I was prescribed lymecycline for acne instead of accutane, the way the doctor described it made it sound like it wouldn't do much. She said I should take it for a few weeks/months then come back and see if I need accutane. Of course I also got stuff for external use like benozyl peroxide so maybe it's just for a boost along with that.

Its incredibly mild and usually prescribed in the uk as it is shit cheap to make. Used it for 9 months amd the affects are minimal. The first chance you have ask for epiduo, than accutane

The adapaline is a bit stronger in my experience.
The purging phase can be harsh aswell.

My acne is mainly scarring I have very few active spots and its not cystic, will benozyl peroxide and adapalene gel aswell as a cleanser, moisturiser and spf clear my skin up anyway, because I can only get accutane in 12 weeks time, can I expect results in those 12 weeks

It should but scarring wont dissapear

The scars aren't like crater kind of scars theyre deep red marks that have already started to fade
