Does mouth cutting even work

My mouth width to nose width ratio is slightly off my mouth is 1-3mm smaller than it should be, would cutting the sides of the mouth work? I dont really understand how it could work as the wound would just heal back no? I also saw something here about stretching ur mouth by 3d printing something to put in between your lips while sleeping and slowly increase the size. wouldnt this be better?

I havent done wnough research on mouth cutting but i will be printing a mouth widening appliance soon i have a friend who did that and widened his lips

I think I would be printing the appliance aswell as mouth cutting makes ur lips look like shit after
