Does mouth tape actually work?

I mean like putting tape on your mouth so you don't mouth breathe while sleeping. Does it work and do I need some sort of tape designed specifically for that or can I use any normal tape? Also is it safe i'm worried i'll suffocate in my sleep or something like that

ik same class ii for me but it seems llike the reccesion makes it harder for the mouth tape to even work, Id look at fme or marpe or orthognathic surgery then use things like mouth tape after wont make it worse tho in themean time

Just use micro pore 3mm
