Thats how its known yes... but its a psychological horror game that I like for the horror. To prove this, I wrote a scene breakdown for @R1PPer today and you can read it if you don't believe me.



"The scene begins by Ashley noticing that Andrew killed the neighbor lady, speculating he tried to rape her while she "almost died" trying to kill the Warden. Andrew denies this (truthfully) and tells her to "fuck off from my love life" which Ashley sees as a personal insult of her worth. Ashley then outs herself as the person who sent the death threats to Julia furthermore enforcing the rift between their trust in that moment, and villifying Ashley. Due to the situation Andrew refuses to continue and decides to try to leave which Ashley refuses to allow and blocks the door. To get him to continue the argument he brings up the murder of Nina which is a spot neither of them have addressed since childhood and it has certainly never been weaponized before, After this Andrew chokes her out in an attempt to kill her which Ashley who has a GUN on her has no protest to. She could easily shoot him, but decides against it because life without him has no value to her. As well as this, she doesn't threaten him because she would rather die by his hands and give him the pleasure of choking her to death rather than live and have him upset. Andrew could have easily killed her, but stops for a reason which we don't know yet and can only speculate on. My theory is that Andrew also doesn't see life without Ashley as precious which is SUPERRR reenforced by the new chapter but others think its because Andrew believes he would be doing exactly what she wanted by killing her. They reconcile by apologizing and deciding Nina's death is completely a thing of the past and leave the apartment binded together by the near death of them both, leaving one mentally shattered and the other even more confident in her ways that she will never have consequences for her actions to Andrew. "
