Does posture really matter that much for height?

i'm already pretty tall but i don't have a perfect posture either i was wondering if i fixed if i would really gain a few cm in height, is it true or i doesn't matter that much?

well it wont make you taller, but obviously if you are not standing straight, then you look shorter
